Harry Phil Gant honed his driving skills in the 1950’s, street racing on rural roads in Alexander County, NC. He began his career on a dirt track in Hickory, where those skills began to be put to the test. He and his buddies took turns driving an old’57 Chevy that Harry had put a Corvette engine into.

Marcos Ambrose had his first win in the Nationwide series at the historical road course, Watkins Glen International. The win was brought to Ambrose by the misfortunes of Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Burton. Both Johnson and Burton ran out of gas on successive laps giving Ambrose the lead with three laps to go.
Kyle Busch is having a dream year and is simply dominating the 2008 Sprint Cup season. His win today at Watkins Glen International demonstrates just how strong of a season he is having this year. Busch has eight wins out of 22 starts so far this year in the Sprint Cup.
Brad Keselowski wins his second Nationwide series race this year the bullring known as Bristol Motor Speedway. Second place finisher and series leader Clint Bowyer was in front of Keselowski but on lap 227 Bowyer made a mental error allowing Keselowski to slip by him. Keselowski held on until the end of the 250 laps for the victory.
